Caitlyn and Greg had a beautiful wedding this summer in Venice, Italy. Having fallen in love with Nantucket rather by chance, docking a boat here will do that to anyone!, they threw a wedding reception for their local friends at Straight Wharf with a welcome party the night before at The Galley.

It was one of those days on Nantucket when the weather was a little unsure of what it wants to do. We get them often this time of year. A little sun, a little cloud, a little wind…everything but rain and snow, thankfully!

There were some heros at yesterday's stormy wedding at The Galley Beach, most notably the Galley staff. Actually, we would give the award to Marcela who fought the elements the hardest while escorting guests and wedding party into the beach tent with a smile. What a trooper! To be fair, the weather didn't bring down anyone's spirits, if anything, it made Jill and Matt's wedding all the more memorable. Kate, the darling little flower girl was not to be upstaged by any wind and rain, she completely stole the show, a complete doll.
