Nantucket Film Portraits

I still get excited by the smell of a roll of film when I first open the canister or package. I photographed these portraits of Ava and Vivian last spring, on a drizzly day with my Contax 645. No amount of digital actions can replicate how gorgeous real film color and grain are to me. Photographing with any one of my army of film cameras slows me down, makes every click matter, and will always be something I go back to not nearly enough.
