When Liz first met Mike, she had no idea how her life would change. He turned out to be the most romantic man she’d met. He proposed a year ago, in a way that no woman could resist. While away on work for a week, Liz was just getting back to her hotel when she was whisked away to a private airport and taken on a helicopter ride over NYC, not knowing what was happening. The ride over the city in the fall was beautiful enough, but then they landed at Glenmere Mansion in Chester, NY and it all became clear. There was Mike, at sunset, on one knee. Men of the world, take note. Mike has raised the bar!
Liz, the Northeast Education Executive at Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, naturally had a top notch team of makeup artists along for the wedding day. She is also the owner of Liz O’Malley Makeup. Lead styling educator for Bumble and bumble., Allen Thomas Wood, gave Liz’s already gorgeous hair 3 fantastic looks.
Though Liz and her family frequented the ‘other’ island for years, Nantucket quickly became a favorite vacation spot. Liz’s father Bruce sailed here all summer, and just gave away his third daughter on their new favorite island. The wedding ceremony took place on the White Elephant lawn, on the harbor on a perfect Sunday afternoon. Another of the couple’s ridiculously talented friends, Chantal Ambroise, led the procession in song. She also sang three songs during the reception, All of Me by John Legend with make up artist and incredible singer Jaime Perez, Love on Top by Beyoncé and No Place I’d Rather Be by Clean Bandit. Truly amazing.

It felt a little bit like fall for Annie & Larry’s ‘Sconset wedding last weekend and no one was complaining about it. It’s been a hot and humid summer and we are all looking forward to the cooler, dryer feel of September…and of course, weddings! Annie & Larry kicked off my September wedding season with […]
