When a couple Nantucket locals get married on island, it’s bound to be a really fun party! Megan is a kindergarten teacher at the New School, and Dre is the chef at Ventuno. They combined forces and resources and created a DIY wedding full of amazing friends and family.

Megan and Dre’s ceremony, overlooking the water at Great Harbor Yacht Club, was officiated by chef and owner of the Nautilus, Liam Mackey. Straight Wharf Restaurant hosted the reception, but many of Dre’s chef friends coordinated in the kitchen to create various courses. Though before dinner could be served, one important little detail needed to be hashed out – who was going to win the Kentucky Derby! Luckily, this was a group of people who just go with the flow and had a blast watching the Derby from the bar.

Little touches from where their families are from, Megan (Canada) and Dre (Italy), were represented by Canadian pins worn by the groomsmen and Italian delicacies for dessert. Thanks for starting our 2015 wedding season off on such a fun vibe!
