Ashlie & Steve were married at her family home on a perfect September day. Steve proposed at Brant Point last summer. Ashlie was baptized and spent many 4th of Julys watching the fireworks at the lighthouse. Though the couple now lives in California where Ashlie is working on her acting career, Nantucket is where the heart is.
The family added a really special and close feel to the wedding weekend. Ashlie’s parents, Shellie and Dan of Lee Real Estate and the popular coffee table book A Nantucket Experience, had a major part in the planning process. They worked tirelessly to make their property absolutely perfect to host the event, Ashlie had a really touching first look with her father before the ceremony, and Ashlie’s aunts helped her get dressed for the main event. A highlight of the evening was the father/daughter dance that started out slow and sweet, and ended up in a full on, super fun and choreographed dance with her bridesmaids to Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. At the end of the evening, Ashlie stepped out in her mother’s own wedding dress and the couple was celebrated by guests under sparklers into their new marriage and life.

Jen & Mick were married at the Siasconset Union Chapel with their reception following at the Chanticleer restaurant. Jen grew up coming to Nantucket every summer with her parents and sisters, and Mick grew up visiting nearby on the Cape. Mick proposed in Ocean Beach, California just about a year ago by sneaking a ring […]
There is something wild going on with the hydrangeas on Nantucket this summer- they are just so lush! A wonderful couple who is game for anything and that sweet golden hour light made for […]

The couple’s first vacation together was to Nantucket, so it was just the perfect place to plan their August wedding. With the help of Maggie from Nantucket Island Events, they put together a stunning wedding […]
It felt a little bit like fall for Annie & Larry’s ‘Sconset wedding last weekend and no one was complaining about it. It’s been a hot and humid summer and we are all looking forward to the cooler, dryer feel of September…and of course, weddings! Annie & Larry kicked off my September wedding season with […]

For Caroline, the wedding day began at her family home in downtown Nantucket- a former whaling captain’s home once owned by the Macy family, one of the original founders of the island.
