Alaina & Brian were married at the Sankaty Beach Club with a reception following at the Sankaty Golf Club. It goes without saying that Alaina’s dress was quite fabulous, and that the wedding was romantic and picturesque- made sweeter by their fur baby, Nala, preceding Alaina down the aisle.
Their Nantucket love story is best told in the couple’s own words:
Brian, ‘My parents started coming to ACK in the 1970s on my dad’s sport fishing boat, and she has been a part of my life since I was born. ACK is the setting of many of the most important chapters in my life, including my most cherished family memories and grueling summer jobs. My love for the island grows deeper every year.’
Alaina, ‘Prior to my first visit to the island, Brian use to constantly talk about the magical place 30 miles out to sea with cobblestone streets and old brick covered sidewalks, along with a bar dedicated to juice, houses covered in gray shingles and oak baskets used as purses. It sounded dreamy but I didn’t get. On my first visit to the Gray Lady, we arrived via ferry; it was absolutely picturesque. That afternoon on a bench in town eating Something Natural, I said “okay, I get it. I love the place too.” With the exception of the proposal, all of our fondest memories are on island together. We really didn’t entertain the idea of anywhere but Nantucket to get married. We are so excited that we get to share our love for each other and the island with all of our wedding guests.’

Eliza & Taylor’s journey to the altar was delayed due to the pandemic, but certainly worth the wait! Eliza’s mother, Laura, reached out in early 2019 to let me in on surprise proposal plans that Taylor had while the couple was hiking in Spain. She said yes, and a few months later I got to […]

Jen grew up coming to Nantucket every summer with her parents and sisters, and Mick grew up visiting nearby on the Cape. Mick proposed in Ocean Beach, California just about a year ago by sneaking a ring […]
There is something wild going on with the hydrangeas on Nantucket this summer- they are just so lush! A wonderful couple who is game for anything and that sweet golden hour light made for […]

The couple’s first vacation together was to Nantucket, so it was just the perfect place to plan their August wedding. With the help of Maggie from Nantucket Island Events, they put together a stunning wedding […]
It felt a little bit like fall for Annie & Larry’s ‘Sconset wedding last weekend and no one was complaining about it. It’s been a hot and humid summer and we are all looking forward to the cooler, dryer feel of September…and of course, weddings! Annie & Larry kicked off my September wedding season with […]

For Caroline, the wedding day began at her family home in downtown Nantucket- a former whaling captain’s home once owned by the Macy family, one of the original founders of the island.
