Kevin proposed to Katarina at Brant Point Lighthouse. Katarina grew up summering in Miacomet, at her family’s home on the south shore of Nantucket. Her family has been coming here for more than 40 years. However, Kevin grew up visiting the ‘other island’, Martha’s Vineyard. When it came to choosing the location for their fall wedding, Nantucket won!

I started the day at Katarina’s family’s home where she got ready to see Kevin for the first time on their wedding day. It was a seasonally brisk and breezy afternoon, and for the last wedding of our 2019 wedding season, it couldn’t have been more gorgeous. Katarina wore a cozy bolero and Kevin coordinated with his sisters and the botanical theme in a green velvet blazer. The bride carried the same Nantucket Lightship basket as her mother did, in lieu of a bridal bouquet.

The Nantucket Hotel was decked out in the fall spirit and the centerpieces by Dunlovely Floral Design brought a bit of the forest inside. Perry Rossi Orchestra kept the guests on their feet as they celebrated the newly married couple.
