Lauren & Dan were married at St Mary’s Church with their reception following at the White Elephant Hotel. This June has been particularly mild, and last Saturday it rained on all 3 of our weddings. Fortunately for us, we couldn’t have asked for more down to earth, easy going couples’ to document. Sure, we dodged raindrops, and had to make a run for it a few times, but it kept us on our toes. What could have been a stressful day, was just fun instead. It’s good luck, they say! A little rain on your wedding day symbolizes cleansing, fertility, renewal and unity.
Seven years ago on the first day of orientation to medical school, Lauren and Dan met. They started dating shortly thereafter. Lauren has been coming to Nantucket with her family since she was little. To her, it’s a magical place that feels like a world’s away from the stresses of everyday life. Dan fell in love with Nantucket shortly after they started dated. The couple both got the opportunity to do a medical school rotation on island with Dr. Lepore during the off-season and really got to know the island during that time. Personally, I think it’s the best time here.

Jen & Mick were married at the Siasconset Union Chapel with their reception following at the Chanticleer restaurant. Jen grew up coming to Nantucket every summer with her parents and sisters, and Mick grew up visiting nearby on the Cape. With the help of Maggie from Nantucket Island Events, they put together a stunning wedding […]
It felt a little bit like fall for Annie & Larry’s ‘Sconset wedding last weekend and no one was complaining about it. It’s been a hot and humid summer and we are all looking forward to the cooler, dryer feel of September…and of course, weddings! Annie & Larry kicked off my September wedding season with […]

For Caroline, the wedding day began at her family home in downtown Nantucket- a former whaling captain’s home once owned by the Macy family, one of the original founders of the island.
