I’ve heard people say that Mark and I are inspiration to those who think love is impossible to find on this little island, especially the second time around. Well, Beverly and David are Case #2. They met just last year at St. Paul’s Annual Meeting, when David wooed Beverly over a serving of his famous popovers. Nearly a year to the date, they were married during a Sunday morning service at St. Paul’s in front of friends and churchgoers. Beverly was walked down the aisle by her dear friend and fellow artist, Reggie Levine, who has been a well known fixture in the art world on island since the 1970s.
Beverly and David, who were engaged just before a trip to India this fall, seem made for each other. Their sense of humor, love for travel, animals, and the arts, and lovable eccentricity proves it. Beverly’s, and now David’s, Madaket home is adorned with the most amazing collections of art I have ever seen. It’s truly one of my favorite places to be. It has been host to the Shakespeare Festival for a few years, which is always a lot of fun.
Beverly Hall is a well known and respected member of the photography community on Nantucket. Her photos of Fred Rogers, Madaket Millie, and many other island notables, hang on walls everywhere you look. She has photographed the families of politicians, actors, and notable Nantucketers through a few generations, since 1964.
I’ve had the pleasure of calling Beverly my friend for many years now, and couldn’t be happier for her and David!
Eliza & Taylor’s journey to the altar was delayed due to the pandemic, but certainly worth the wait! Eliza’s mother, Laura, reached out in early 2019 to let me in on surprise proposal plans that Taylor had while the couple was hiking in Spain. She said yes, and a few months later I got to […]
Jen & Mick were married at the Siasconset Union Chapel with their reception following at the Chanticleer restaurant. Jen grew up coming to Nantucket every summer with her parents and sisters, and Mick grew up visiting nearby on the Cape. Mick proposed in Ocean Beach, California just about a year ago by sneaking a ring […]
There is something wild going on with the hydrangeas on Nantucket this summer- they are just so lush! Katie & Phil took a break from wedding planning to have some engagement photos taken on the most gorgeous July evening. A wonderful couple who is game for anything and that sweet golden hour light made for […]
Danielle & David were married at the First Congregational Church with their reception following on a private property in Shawkemo. The couple’s first vacation together was to Nantucket, so it was just the perfect place to plan their August wedding. With the help of Maggie from Nantucket Island Events, they put together a stunning wedding […]
It felt a little bit like fall for Annie & Larry’s ‘Sconset wedding last weekend and no one was complaining about it. It’s been a hot and humid summer and we are all looking forward to the cooler, dryer feel of September…and of course, weddings! Annie & Larry kicked off my September wedding season with […]

For Caroline, the wedding day began at her family home in downtown Nantucket- a former whaling captain’s home once owned by the Macy family, one of the original founders of the island. Mark and his groomsmen […]
