Jorie wore a gorgeous long sleeved Temperley London gown as she said I Do to Bill at the Sconset Chapel on Saturday. After the ceremony and a full mass, the party celebrated at the Sconset Casino.
The Siasconset Casino was built in 1900 as an entertainment center and tennis club for Sconset’s 2000 residents, many whom were artists, musicians, writers and actors. Contrary to it’s name, it’s never been a place where you’d find Blackjack tables and nickle slots – at least not on a regular basis. The Casino is a private club which hosts lots of fun island activities, and many weddings.
Jorie and her friends Robin, Sarah and Sarah, grew up spending their summers in Sconset and working at the concession stand at the Casino. We’ve now had the honor of photographing all of their weddings!
The table decor that Jen at Placesetters and florist Sheila Daume had designed were really unique and pretty. Blue toile tablecloths accented with lots of gold candles. Fun escort cards and menus designed by Cara at Dear Rose Studio included crowned seahorses and octopuses. The couple invited native Nantucketer Jack Killen and his band Workout from Brooklyn to keep everyone up and dancing. I couldn’t get the song Torn by Natalie Imbruglia out of my head while editing the dancing photos!
