Rebecca & Mike met 4 years to the day from their wedding, on May 30th at the Chicken Box. Their first date started with a run through Sanford Farm, which was also where Mike proposed last summer. The wedding ceremony took place Friday at St. Mary’s Church with a reception following at the Nantucket Yacht Club. “ACK Fancy” welcome bags with black bow ties set the tone for the wedding attire, black suits and black bridesmaids dresses. But it was the amazingly colorful flowers that added a cheerful twist to the otherwise formal look. I particularly loved the bride’s mother’s bright dress, that tied it all together. Everyone look spectacular, especially the bride in her sweet and sophisticated gown.
As guests mingled with cocktails on the Yacht Club lawn, the couple and I took a quick trip to Brant Point Lighthouse. You really couldn’t ask for a nicer day. The reception at the Nantucket Yacht Club was lit by colorful band lights, and was decorated by lush, high centerpieces and glowing candles. Mark and I couldn’t help but dance along while Beantown Band kept everyone on (and off) their feet all night.
Rebecca & Mike’s wedding was our first of this season, and they raised the bar pretty high for the rest of our 2014 weddings!
