Mary Ellen & John were married on a gorgeous September day. While John got ready at his Sconset home with his son Gordon, Mary Ellen and her maid of honor Janis prepared for the day down the road with their friend, Logan, doing hair and makeup.
The couple were married in an outdoor ceremony at Sconset Beach, officiated by their friend, Ben. After the ceremony, Noah, on the fiddle, paraded wedding guests under the footbridge and down the road, back to John’s house for the reception. The house has been in John’s family for many decades, and it was very special for them to include it in their celebration. Many Nantucket friends of John’s, and now Mary Ellen’s, attended the wedding, as well as friends and family from New York City. The reception had a Tuscan vibe, decorated by Flowers on Chestnut and meals served by the Island Kitchen food truck. It was truly a fun and sweet day.
