Karen & Bill were married at St. Mary’s Church with their reception following at the White Elephant.
In Karen’s words :
“Bill found Nantucket over 15 years ago after pulling into the harbor on his sport fishing boat, the A-1-A. He just fell in love with the charm of it all and shortly thereafter he bought a house on the beach in Madequecham. He started taking me up here on weekends and I was hooked. We love the friendliness and courteousness of the people and the laid back atmosphere here. I once asked someone from Ireland who lives on Nantucket if he likes America and he said, “This isn’t America, it’s Nantucket.” and that statement is so apropos. It’s a different world here. If anything is bothering you before arriving here, it quickly fades away shortly thereafter.”
Karen’s father walked her down the aisle as she held back tears of joy. Luckily, the rainy day didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. We found some shelter and made use of a couple big umbrellas for the couple’s portraits. No need to hide inside! Entrain, the Martha’s Vineyard based band who have recorded 8 albums, rocked the reception as everyone danced and celebrated Karen and Bill!
