Nantucket is where Nora and Chris have been coming to for years and holds a special place in both their hearts. Every year they grab a photo of themselves in front of Brant Point and during last year’s visit to the iconic lighthouse, Chris brought out a ring and asked Nora to be his wife! He had a romantic dinner planned for later but in Chris’s words, “Typical us, we ended up grabbing drinks and a burger. It was by far the most amazing night. Neither one of us could stop smiling!” Fast forward to September 2014 and they’re still smiling, and who could blame them?! Their daughter, Grace is a treat, we did a family portrait session just last week and I couldn’t stop smiling either.
With a late ceremony at St Mary’s we decided to do portraits and formals first, while we had light and before the rain came! We headed to Brant Point of course to keep the tradition going, and took a walk around town before heading to St. Mary’s for their ceremony. Nora looked stunning in her Oscar de la Renta dress and Chris, very dapper in his tux. Both of their fathers had recently passed, and in honor, Nora and her bridesmaids had bouquets with her dad’s neck ties wrapped around the stems, adding a personal and loving touch to the decor. White hydrangeas and roses adorned the tables at The Nantucket Hotel where The Sultans of Swing kept everyone on the dance floor right through the night. What a great party for a great family! Congratulations Nora, Chris and Grace!

Eliza & Taylor’s journey to the altar was delayed due to the pandemic, but certainly worth the wait! Eliza’s mother, Laura, reached out in early 2019 to let me in on surprise proposal plans that Taylor had while the couple was hiking in Spain. She said yes, and a few months later I got to […]
Jen & Mick were married at the Siasconset Union Chapel with their reception following at the Chanticleer restaurant. Jen grew up coming to Nantucket every summer with her parents and sisters, and Mick grew up visiting nearby on the Cape. Mick proposed in Ocean Beach, California just about a year ago by sneaking a ring […]
There is something wild going on with the hydrangeas on Nantucket this summer- they are just so lush! Katie & Phil took a break from wedding planning to have some engagement photos taken on the most gorgeous July evening. A wonderful couple who is game for anything and that sweet golden hour light made for […]

The couple’s first vacation together was to Nantucket, so it was just the perfect place to plan their August wedding. With the help of Maggie from Nantucket Island Events, they put together a stunning wedding […]
It felt a little bit like fall for Annie & Larry’s ‘Sconset wedding last weekend and no one was complaining about it. It’s been a hot and humid summer and we are all looking forward to the cooler, dryer feel of September…and of course, weddings! Annie & Larry kicked off my September wedding season with […]
