The first summer Fiona & Chris met, they spent many weekends on Chris’s boat going from Mattapoisett or Cape Cod to the islands. Their favorite place to visit together has always been Nantucket. That first summer together, they even spent the night on his 25 ft boat in the Boat Basin!! It was a tight squeeze.
The summer before the wedding, on a warm, sunny day on Cape Cod the couple took Chris’s boat across the Sound to Nantucket. About half way there, the fog and rough seas rolled in. The waves were crashing over the bow of the boat and they couldn’t see further than a few feet in front of them. They eventually made it to Nantucket (thank goodness for GPS), tied up to a mooring in the harbor, and made their way to one of the Inns in town. They went for a walk towards Brant Point Lighthouse. All of a sudden, the skies cleared and what was a grey, misty, foggy day became crystal clear, blue skies. Chris got down on one knee in front of the lighthouse with the harbor in the background, and the rest is history!
As luck would have it, I happened to be on the beach, and captured the moment!
Although planning a wedding during a pandemic had been interesting at times, it made Fiona & Chris realize what is really important to them: each other, their families, and getting married in their favorite place in the world. They were sad not to include their British and Swedish relatives in this celebration and missed them lots on the wedding day, but plan on celebrating with them in the (hopefully near) future.
“She made everyone feel so relaxed in front of the camera, and it shows in her photos.
We are so happy we used Zofia for our wedding.
She was very flexible with our plans for the day, easy to communicate with via email or phone, super friendly, and took truly incredible photos.
We are so happy with how our wedding photos came out- we couldn’t have asked for anything better.
We would highly recommend Zofia!”

Eliza & Taylor’s journey to the altar was delayed due to the pandemic, but certainly worth the wait! Eliza’s mother, Laura, reached out in early 2019 to let me in on surprise proposal plans that Taylor had while the couple was hiking in Spain. She said yes, and a few months later I got to […]
Jen & Mick were married at the Siasconset Union Chapel with their reception following at the Chanticleer restaurant. Jen grew up coming to Nantucket every summer with her parents and sisters, and Mick grew up visiting nearby on the Cape. Mick proposed in Ocean Beach, California just about a year ago by sneaking a ring […]
There is something wild going on with the hydrangeas on Nantucket this summer- they are just so lush! Katie & Phil took a break from wedding planning to have some engagement photos taken on the most gorgeous July evening. A wonderful couple who is game for anything and that sweet golden hour light made for […]

The couple’s first vacation together was to Nantucket, so it was just the perfect place to plan their August wedding. It felt a little bit like fall for Annie & Larry’s ‘Sconset wedding last weekend and no one was complaining about it. It’s been a hot and humid summer and we are all looking forward to the cooler, dryer feel of September…and of course, weddings! Annie & Larry kicked off my September wedding season with […]
