Jody & JP were married overlooking the Nantucket Golf Course on a PERFECT fall day. The couple are local Nantucketers in the hospitality industry, and their guests were a sweet combination of friends and family with a lot of familiar faces if you frequent our bars and restaurants.
The location is very special to the couple, as it’s where JP is employed and enjoys a good round of golf. Tom Bressette, the Club’s COO, officiated the ceremony. Jody’s best friend and brother figure, Les MacDonald walked her down the aisle as JP and his brother/best man, Ed, wiped away tears of joy.
Fall on island is that ahhhhhh moment for us locals, when the crazy busy season is over and we start seeing friends we haven’t had a chance to say more than Hey to since May. You could feel that sense of shoulders relaxing and wine a flowin’ as Jody & JP’s island friends got to be on the other side of things for the evening, and look forward to the quiet season. There was so much love for the couple, and as Jody put it, sometimes you make your own family and these people, these friends are all her and JP’s family. Brian and I had a really great time being amongst so many people we know and love as well. It was certainly a treat to go to work that day!
