Eliza & Taylor’s journey to the altar was delayed due to the pandemic, but certainly worth the wait! Eliza’s mother, Laura, reached out in early 2019 to let me in on surprise proposal plans that Taylor had while the couple was hiking in Spain. She said yes, and a few months later I got to photograph their engagement session here on island. Nantucket has always been near and dear to Eliza since she’s summered here her whole life.
Original wedding plans were set for June of 2020, postponed to the fall and then again to June of this year. As so many engaged couples, they went through the back and forth of scheduling and rescheduling their wedding over the past year+ and didn’t want to wait to make it official, so they wed last September. On to June 26, 2021, a perfect day to celebrate, and renew their vows in the church Eliza had always dreamed of getting married, the First Congregational Church of Nantucket, just steps from her family’s home.
A super beautiful and fun reception took place at the Nantucket Golf Club where The Sultans had everyone on their feet throughout the night. We are thrilled for Eliza and Taylor, and just loved seeing big smiles on their faces all day!
