Caroline & Jonathan were married on the Zen Deck at The Wauwinet with their reception following under a clear tent on the lawn overlooking Nantucket harbor.

Almost 10 years ago, Jon happened to be staying on a houseboat in Amsterdam with a guy Caroline was dating at the time. While in Amsterdam, the friend told Jon about Caroline and showed him pictures. Fast forward three years, Caroline was in a bar in Washington, D.C. (and now single). Jonathan saw her from across the room and immediately recognized Caroline. His friend encouraged him to approach her, and they started talking. They had our first date a few days after and were engaged in Santorini overlooking the caldera at sunset, two years later.

The bride’s parents have been visiting Nantucket since before she was born. Caroline spent summers working at the Sconset Market, babysitting, surfing, and sneaking into the Chicken Box. With all those wonderful memories, she and Jon just added the biggest and best one by getting married in their happy place.
