Sarah & Henry were married at the First Congregational Church, with their reception following at Sankaty Golf Club. The couple met their first week at Dartmouth and started dating here on Nantucket that following summer. It’s quite clear that they were meant for each other, as everyone at the wedding agreed that they just knew they’d get married one day. Nantucket is a special place to both Sarah & Henry, not only because this is where there courtship really began, but because both sides of the family summer on island. Their rehearsal dinner even took place at Henry’s grandmother’s home right on the harbor.
Fun fact, Sarah’s grandfather wrote the book, Father of the Bride, which was given to each guest in their welcome bag!
The bridesmaids wore a nautical navy blue, while the groomsmen wore seersucker suits with Sankaty Lighthouse ties from Vineyard Vines. They were accented with blue, green and white blooms from Flowers on Chestnut. All perfect for a Nantucket wedding! A bubble send off celebrated the couple after their vows at the iconic First Congregational Church, and they drove off in Henry’s grandfather’s Cabriolet convertible to Sconset for some portraits and then cocktail hour under the tent. A little rain for good luck at the end of the night assured that this pair will live happily ever after!
