Katie & Matt were married at the Nantucket Dreams, aka Heidi Ho property in Tom Nevers. The couple met as freshmen at Boston University. They since moved out west together to San Francisco where Matt proposed, at Lafayette Park. Katie grew up vacationing on Nantucket with her family. She brought Matt here on family trips, and he quickly fell in love with the island himself. Who wouldn’t!?
The wedding took place on a warm September day under bright blue skies. Celebrating the joining of Katie and Matt’s families was very important to them on their big day. Katie’s five brothers were a part of the wedding as were their (ridiculously cute) kids, and Matt’s siblings were in the wedding party. Even family terrier McDuff got in on the action. Katie wore her grandmother’s ring, and gifted her parents with personalized jewelry to commemorate the day and their part in it.
The navy and pink theme was carried over from the men’s suits and women’s dresses and flowers, to the decor on the tables under the tent. Betsey Brooks highlighted the navy tablecloths with beautiful bright pink hydrangeas, roses and lilies. It smelled wonderful. Jeff Ross and the Atlantics couldn’t stop anyone from dancing if they tried. It was a really fun crowd!
The newly married couple is off in Europe on a grand adventure for a few weeks, while we reminisce and share a big preview of their wedding!
