Alexandra & Jamie were married at the First Congregational Church with their reception following at Galley Beach.
Jamie proposed a couple years ago at The Chanticleer in front of family, and she lovingly pretended to be surprised though she totally saw it coming, ha!
Alex and her family have spent over 20 years visiting Nantucket. The charm, beauty, and serenity of the island has always felt magical to her. She’d dreamed of having her wedding at The Galley since she was a little girl. Even though Hurricane Dorian reported 81mph gusts the morning of the big day, Handy & Dallaire Events were able to come up with a way to keep her dream wedding at her dream location. With a little finagling and rearranging, Plan B looked and felt just as wonderful as Plan A. Side note, when Alex said she was most looking forward to the wedding cake, we had no idea she meant a five foot tall masterpiece wedding cake by Ana Parzych!
As their interfaith ceremony began at the First Congregational Church, the clouds parted and blue skies were seen through the windows. We just knew the famous Galley Beach sunset would make its appearance that evening on the beach.

Jen & Mick were married at the Siasconset Union Chapel with their reception following at the Chanticleer restaurant. Jen grew up coming to Nantucket every summer with her parents and sisters, and Mick grew up visiting nearby on the Cape. There is something wild going on with the hydrangeas on Nantucket this summer- they are just so lush! A wonderful couple who is game for anything and that sweet golden hour light made for […]

With the help of Maggie from Nantucket Island Events, they put together a stunning wedding […]
It felt a little bit like fall for Annie & Larry’s ‘Sconset wedding last weekend and no one was complaining about it. It’s been a hot and humid summer and we are all looking forward to the cooler, dryer feel of September…and of course, weddings! Annie & Larry kicked off my September wedding season with […]

For Caroline, the wedding day began at her family home in downtown Nantucket- a former whaling captain’s home once owned by the Macy family, one of the original founders of the island.
