Steve proposed to Stewart at the Wauwinet Hotel on their dock as the sun was setting. They enjoyed rose champagne on their lawn afterwards. They love Madequecham beach and even hope to own a home there soon.
Steve and Stewart’s wedding weekend kicked off with a intimate welcome dinner at their friends Carol and Mike’s home in ‘Sconset. The intimate group enjoyed candlelit cocktails and hor d’oeuvres, while Stewart’s adorable daughter, Rowan hammed it up for my camera. The evening was capped with a beautiful sunset and moonrise over the moors.
Saturday was a spectacular Nantucket fall day for the ceremony on the water in Madequecham, officiated by their dear friend, Lizz Furtato. Stewart is an accomplished musician and Steve is the SVP and Market Manager at CBS Radio in Washington, DC. To say music was a part of Steve and Stewart’s wedding would be an understatement. Multiple tear inducing performances during the ceremony followed by a full set from Stewart’s mother’s bluegrass band, The Center Streeters, made for an incredible event.
At the reception under a Sperry tent, heartfelt toasts were intermixed with hilarious family wedding traditions and even more musical performances. Guests ate duck tacos, grilled salmon, and baked mac and cheese prepared by Island Creations. After dinner, Stewart and daughter Rowan stole the spotlight on the dance floor. The night ended with a delicious cake covered in white chocolate scallops from Nantucket Bakery followed by even more dancing.
Great company and good times were abundant at this wedding and I could not have been happier to be a part of Steve and Stewart’s wedding day!

It felt a little bit like fall for Annie & Larry’s ‘Sconset wedding last weekend and no one was complaining about it.
